March and April saw the programme for 2019/20 developed. Two projects have been planned, two outside meetings in June and August and one visit. In addition members are to give a talk to Cowling Companions in November.
The aims of the group have been reviewed. It was agreed that they should remain the same.
Monthly meeting organisation has been reviewed and changes made to make more time for the months research and recording. Members have also agreed to take turns monthly in talking about a favourite local history topic.
A database for jobs in the parish between 1841 and 1901 has been commenced, which should reflect the changes in the parish, as the new village grew in the latter parts of the industrial revolution.
Communications have been exchanged with Anthea Watkins daughter of past Methodist minister Reverend Tibbets and she sent us some old postcards of the area.
