Moonrakers have no knowledge of the value of Daniel Binns’ art work.
A much more detailed account of Daniel’s life and artist’s work is in construction and should replace this article below within the next few months. (February 2019)
Dan Binns was a native of Cowling. He qualified as an art teacher and worked at Aireville School. He was classically trained in art and drew, sketched and painted life in Skipton in the 1930s and 1940s.
Dan regularly had his work exhibited in the galleries of London including the Royal Academy. He was president of the Craven Art Club in Skipton until his death in 1964.
His work has been reproduced in a book available locally in Skipton and surrounding areas.
Here are several copies of his works produced by kind permission of Dan’s son David and the Brent Gallery which is no longer trading in the parish.
